What this reading actually reads
Relationships sit on house 7 here, and its natural ruler is Venus. That is not a matter of taste: it is written the same way in the server’s code, and those are the points it looks at.

- The house of partnership. The sign on its cusp describes not “your other half” but what you go looking for — and therefore what you keep failing to notice.
- The ruler of the house
- The planet that rules that sign, and where it sits in your chart. Often it is the ruler that explains why what you want and what you get do not line up.
- Venus
- What draws you and what you treat as valuable. Its sign and aspects are the most direct answer to “what do you actually like”.
- Mars
- How you make the first move and how you argue. Half of what people call incompatibility lives here.
- Aspects to them
- The angles from the rest of the chart to Venus and Mars, with the same orbs used everywhere on this site. Every line of the reading can be checked against them.
- Without a birth time
- The house cannot be computed — and we say so. Venus, Mars and the aspects between planets stay correct, so the reading is shorter but not invented.

What this is not

- It is not advice about who to be with. No reading knows your person — it only knows the sky at the minute you were born.

Then you need two charts and the angles between them — one person’s Venus to the other’s Mars, to a tenth of a degree. That is its own page: compatibility by birth dates.
