01 In plain words
What is going on here
Planets move along orbits. Where they will be tomorrow is known in advance and computed from formulas astronomers publish openly. We take those formulas, work out the positions for this minute, and show how they fall against your sign. What you do with that is up to you.
- Take the numbers The orbital elements of the planets are a few lines of numbers that NASA JPL publishes for everyone. They are baked into this page.
- Work out where everything stands Out of those numbers comes the angle of each planet in the sky — the thing astrologers call “Mars in Gemini”. Your browser computes it in a fraction of a second.
- Look at the angles Planets form angles with each other: 0°, 60°, 90°, 120°, 180°. The forecast is assembled from those — not from the mood of whoever wrote the text.
02 The map
Here is where the planets are right now
Every planet sits on its real orbit at its real point. Switch on “As Earth sees it” and it becomes visible where the horoscope wheel comes from in the first place.
The distances are real, the planet sizes are not: at a scale where Jupiter is visible, Mercury would vanish entirely. In the whole-system view the radius is compressed logarithmically, otherwise the four inner orbits would collapse into a dot; in “as Earth sees it” the compression is switched off, so the ray to a planet passes exactly through it. The Moon is drawn near Earth schematically — its real distance is under a pixel at this scale — but the phase is real.

NASA JPL publishes the orbital elements. This page computes the positions from them.
Nothing is fetched and no request goes anywhere — open the inspector and see for yourself. The elements are baked into the page, and your browser computes the positions with the same algorithms the phone app uses.

Aspects to a sign
Whole-sign. A sign is a 30° arc, not a point; asking for an orb to an arc is meaningless.

The short answers
Where does the horoscope on this site come from?
From the positions of the planets. The page takes the orbital elements published by NASA JPL, computes where each body stands this minute, and looks at the angles those bodies make to your sign. The forecast text is selected by those angles, not written a month in advance.
Do I need to register?
No. Nothing has to be entered and nothing is sent anywhere — the whole computation happens in your browser.
How does a sign horoscope differ from a natal chart?
A sign is the thirty-degree arc the Sun stood in on the day you were born. A sign horoscope is the same for every twelfth person alive. A natal chart is computed from the minute and place of birth: where all ten bodies stood at that exact moment. That part is the app.
What is Mercury retrograde?
The apparent backwards motion of a planet across the sky. It does not actually turn around — this is the effect of Earth overtaking it on its orbit. The page determines retrograde motion arithmetically: it compares the planet’s longitude half a day before and half a day after the current moment.
Why is the card of the day the same for everyone?
Because it is a property of the day, not of the person. The card is drawn from the Moon’s longitude at midnight of the current day, so everyone opening the site or the app today sees one card. Personal spreads are computed in the app — they depend on the natal chart and on the question.
