What this costs
Right now, nothing: there is no card field, no subscription and no way to pay us at all. But saying “it is all free” and stopping there would be half the truth. The server costs money. The Oracle that writes a reading costs money. For now I am the one paying for them. Here is the whole arithmetic — and the price that will eventually exist.

What actually costs money here
The astronomy costs nothing: your own browser works out where the planets are, and a thousand open pages cost the same as one. The horoscope, your chart, the houses, the aspects and every explanation are maths that runs on your machine, not on ours.
Two things do cost money: the server all of this sits on, and the Oracle that writes the reading. The Oracle is the expensive one, and a bill arrives for every single call to it. So that is what is counted: 3 readings per person, and no more than 150 across the whole site per day. The daily limit is not aimed at people but at robots: without it one script could spend a month’s budget overnight, and in the morning nobody would get a reading at all.
These numbers are not written by hand — the page reads them out of the server’s code at build time. If they change there, they change here.
What will be paid for, and how much
Payment will appear one day: the site has to live on something, and I have a job that takes up almost all of my time. So that you do not find out at the last moment, the price is written here already.
- One dollar per reading
- That is the price I am planning. Not “from”, not “first one free and then we will see” — $1 for one written reading. That is roughly what it consumes: a few minutes of server time and one call to the Oracle.
- The horoscope and the explanations stay free
- That is exactly why a dollar seems fair to me. The daily horoscope, your birth chart, the houses, the aspects and every article explaining where each number comes from cost us nothing — they will cost you nothing. Only the part that generates a bill will be paid for.
- The price will be a number in plain sight
- Before you enter anything, not after. A price shown only after your birth date is not a price, it is leverage.
- No renewal trap
- If there is ever a subscription, cancelling will work in the same place as signing up, with no emails to support. And a one-off purchase will always exist: not everyone wants a subscription, and that is a normal preference, not an excuse to push.
What there will not be
- A hidden subscription. The kind where a “free week” quietly becomes a monthly charge before you notice.
- A reading that is ready but locked. The text will not be shown blurred with a padlock over it.
- A price after your data. Price first, birth date second — not the reverse.
- A number picked out of the air. A dollar is not “what feels acceptable to charge” — it is roughly what one reading consumes. If it ever changes I will say why, and anything already bought will not get more expensive on its own.
Why all of this is on the page instead of in small print
Because the one thing a site like this can really offer is that it does not lie. The data it computes from is open: the sources are named on the About page, and any position can be checked against them. We are not showing you magic — it is plain mathematics and facts. That those numbers mean something for a person we call tradition, not a demonstrated fact.
That is also why the price is written in advance. I do not need you to pay without noticing — I need you to know what you are paying for and to think it is fair.
And right now
There is nothing to pay with yet: there is no way to send money through this site, and every person gets 3 readings for free. If you want to support it while payment is still being built, the most useful things right now are to use it, to tell someone about it, and to write to me when something is wrong. When a way to pay does appear, it will be on this page, not in a pop-up.
