What does it cost?

Nothing, right now: there is no payment, no card field and no subscription on this site. Each person gets 3 readings; everything else — the horoscope, your chart, the calculations — is unlimited. Paid readings will come later, at one dollar per reading, and the horoscope and all the explanations will stay free. Why that number is on the pricing page.

Do I need an account?

Not for the horoscope, the chart or the calculations — nothing needs to be entered there. An email address is needed for one thing only: so the same chart opens on your other device. Without it everything still works, it just lives in one browser.

Why 3 readings?

Because the Oracle writes the text, and every call to it costs money — as does the server all of this sits on. The astronomy does not: your browser computes it, and it is unlimited. We counted exactly the part that generates a bill.

What do you store about me?

Your birth date and place live in your browser. They reach the server only if you sign in with an email and ask to keep the chart. We do not tie your IP or a history of visits to you. In full on the privacy page.

Where do the numbers come from?

From the orbital elements published by NASA JPL, and from the Meeus series for the Moon. Both are open publications; the titles and tables are named on the About page — you can check them.

Why is a reading without a birth time shorter?

Without the time the ascendant cannot be computed, and without the ascendant there are no houses. We say so, rather than quietly substituting noon: the houses would then be invented while looking computed. The Sun sign, the Moon sign and the aspects between planets stay correct.

Is this science?

Half of it. Computing the sky is astronomy, and that part is exact — the positions can be checked against any astronomical source. That those positions mean something for a person is tradition, not a demonstrated fact. We do not pretend otherwise.

Why is there no weekly horoscope?

Because it would be wrong seven times over. Every day has its own Moon angle, and a weekly text inevitably becomes something that fits any day at all. This is a place to come back to tomorrow, not to read ahead of the sky.

How do I unsubscribe from the letter?

One click inside the letter itself. No sign-in, no writing to support, and no “are you sure you want to leave”.
